Yara International ASA YARIY posted an increase in its second-quarter net profit.
Yara's quarterly net profit rose to NOK2.80 billion ($460 million), from NOK2.23 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of NOK2.75 billion.
Its revenue climbed to NOK21.42 billion, from NOK18.63 billion, versus analysts' estimates of NOK21.47 billion. Its earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization rose to NOK4.97 billion, from NOK3.46 billion, versus analysts' estimates of NOK4.55 billion.
Yara shares gained 1.58% to close at $46.08 yesterday.
