Cinemark Holdings
CNK reported better-than-expected second-quarter results.
Cinemark's quarterly net income surged to $51.6 million, or $0.45 per share, versus $40.4 million, or $0.35 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue increased 5% to $649.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.37 per share on revenue of $630.7 million.
Cinemark shares closed at $24.05 on Friday.
