The non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace has seen a drop in sales volume on OpenSea, an NFT marketplace for buying and selling items.
NFT marketplace launches by Coinbase Global Inc COIN and GameStop Corp. GME have likely brought more people into the NFT space over the last few months, but volume remains down from the 2021 time period.
A pullback in the price of Ethereum ETH/USD, the second largest cryptocurrency, in the first half of 2022 could have also impacted the volume of NFT sales.
Every week, Benzinga looks at the top 10 NFT projects by sales volume, as reported by CryptoSlam. Here were last week’s top 10 NFT collections (Monday to Sunday):
Bored Ape Yacht Club: $11.9 million, +12.1%
Sorare: $9.2 million, +25.6%
Otherdeed: $8.5 million, -3.2%
Potatoz: $8.3 million, N/A
Moonbirds Oddities: $6.4 million, +402.9%
CryptoPunks: $6.1 million, -78.7%
Mutant Ape Yacht Club: $4.7 million, -14.6%
Isekai Meta: $4.4 million, N/A
Art Blocks: $4.1 million, -38.9%
Moonbirds: $3.3 million, +86.8%

What Happened: After previously topping the list last week, CryptoPunks fell to sixth place with a 79% drop in sales volume.
Bored Ape Yacht Club returned to the top of the sales volume chart, a position it has held for many weeks in 2022. The collection was the only one to have a sales volume of $10 million or more for the week.
The top 10 list included six carryovers from the previous leaderboard: Bored Ape Yacht Club (2nd), Sorare (5th), Otherdeed (3rd), CryptoPunks (1st), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (6th) and Art Blocks (4th).
Three new projects landed on the list for the last week based on sales volume.
Moonbirds rejoined the top 10 with a position at tenth with an 86.8% increase in sales volume. The NFT collection unveiled the artwork for Moonbird Oddities, which is linked to nesting Moonbirds NFTs. Moonbirds Oddities ranked fifth on the week and has a floor price of 1.35 ETH.
Potatoz, a collection of 9,999 PFPs, was another new NFT project to hit the top 10, ranking fourth for the week. Owning a Potatoz grants a user a ticket into the Memeland ecosystem. Potatoz has a floor plan of 0.67 ETH.
In eighth place, Isekai Meta is a story-driven hand-drawn NFT collection influenced by Japanese anime. According to the Twitter profile, Isekai Meta is partnered with Studio 9 Lives, a company that has worked on “Haikyu,” “Castlevania,” “Pokemon: Sun & Moon” and other anime works. The project has a floor price of 0.53 ETH.
Outside of the top 10, Doodles and CloneX continued to show strong support at 11th and 12th with sales volume gains of 74% and 55%, respectively.
NBA Top Shot ranked 14th with a 46% gain in sales volume.
Ethereum Name Service (ENS) ranked 15th with a 15% gain in sales volume.
Nickelodeon NFTs, in partnership with Recur and Paramount Global PARAPARAA, ranked 15th with a 3,532% increase in sales volume.
