Jury Awards Apple $1.05B in Samsung Patent Dispute

A San Jose, CA jury said late Friday the Samsung (SSNLF) had infringed on multiple Apple AAPL patents and ordered the Korean Electronics giant to pay $1.05 billion in damages. The jury agreed that Samsung copied the designs of Apple's iPhone smartphone and iPad tablet. Apple shares surged $11.73 after-hours on the news.
