LGL Group Inc LGL climbed 45.73% to $11.95 by 11:01 am. LGL’s revenue for the quarter ended March 31 jumped 41.9%, including 37.3% growth in foreign sales. Valpey Fisher Corp VPF jumped 14.21% to $2.25. VPF posted an operating profit of $182,000 and net earnings of $95,000 on sales of $3,567,000 for Q1 ended April 4, 2010, versus a Q1 2009 operating loss of $54,000 and a net loss of $16,000 on sales of $2,582,000. Spreadtrum Communications Inc SPRD soared 13.45% to $9.28. SPRD, which makes chips for wireless phones, posted profits for Q1, reversing its last year’s losses as revenue grew more than six fold. Hauppauge Digital Inc HAUP shares advanced 5.67% to $2.98. Shares of HAUP, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of TV tuner products for personal computers, jumped 281% last week when the company launched live TV support for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
