Paulson Retains Large Bank Stakes (BAC, C, JPM, WFC)

Noted hedge fund manager John Paulson added 16.8 million Bank of America BAC shares to his kitty during the period ended on March 31. He is among Bank of America’s BAC biggest shareholders. According to a statement filed with the regulatory authorities, Paulson also bought 17 million shares of credit-card issuing company Capital One Financial Corp COF. He also bought 4 million of its warrants. The hedge fund manager also maintained his stake in Citigroup C, JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPM and Wells Fargo WFC. However, Paulson & Co. slashed its stake in Marshall & Isley Corp MI by 2 million shares. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett also left his holdings unchanged in Bank of America BAC, American Express Corp. AXP and Wells Fargo WFC
