- Textron Inc TXT company Textron Aviation plans to add 180,000 square feet of space to its parts distribution operations for better customer support.
- Located at the company's headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, the expansion supports parts availability for the aircraft designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation.
- The Wichita location houses more than 120,000 parts and employs a team of more than 350 people to support distribution operations.
- The new facility is expected to serve customers who own and operate Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker products.
- The larger footprint will allow Textron to continue investing in inventory to support new models and bolster its stock levels for other product lines. The expanded operations will also support Wichita Service Center.
- The company expects to begin the project later in October and complete it by the end of 2023.
- "Customers expect us to have parts available to keep them flying and this expansion will allow us to more efficiently support our customers' parts needs," said Kriya Shortt, SVP, Global Parts and Distribution.
- Price Action: TXT shares are trading higher by 2.44% at $61.30 on the last check Monday.
