Ukraine President's Advisor To Elon Musk: More Countries Will Start 'Chaotic Nuclear Race' If Kyiv Surrenders To Putin's Threats

Ukraine's presidential advisor, who has criticized Vladimir Putin for his 'Coward Response,' took aim at Tesla Inc TSLA CEO Elon Musk after the billionaire made another round of comments about the Russia-Ukraine war.

What Happened: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's advisor, Mykhailo Podolyak, on Twitter, tagging Musk, said If Kyiv capitulates to all nuclear threats from Putin, there will be many more countries that will run into a "nuclear race" to protect their people.

"(Elon Musk) if every time we capitulate to Russia after hearing nuclear threats, how many iterations of this confrontation will SpaceX become SpaceZ with 'Dmitry Rogozin' as CEO? And how many more countries will start a chaotic nuclear race to protect themselves? Doubtful strategy…," an auto-translated version of his tweet said.

This came after Musk suggested that Putin has the ability to destroy US and Europe utterly with nuclear missiles in less than 30 minutes.

"A surprising number of people don't know this. Of course, it would be MAD to use them, but it is also MAD to be in this situation at all," Musk said, suggesting that no reasonable person would launch a nuclear war.

Earlier this month, Ukraine's outgoing ambassador to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, told Musk to "F**k off" after the world's richest man polled his more than 107 million followers on Twitter to determine whether they agreed with his four thoughts about how Russia and Ukraine would eventually come to a peace agreement.
