Putin's Hands 'Stained In Blood,' Says Ukraine As It Seeks Russia's Expulsion From G20

Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesperson, on Tuesday, sought Russia's expulsion from the Group of 20 major economies over President Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine. 

What Happened: Ukraine's spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko said on Twitter that Putin's invitation to the G20 summit in Bali next month must be revoked.

"Putin publicly acknowledged ordering missile strikes on Ukrainian civilians and energy infrastructure," Nikolenko wrote on Twitter.

"With his hands stained in blood, he must not be allowed to sit at the table with world leaders," he added.

Moscow, on Monday, rocked Kyiv with a series of blasts after pulling out of a deal to allow Ukrainian grain shipments.

"Don't justify these attacks by calling them a ‘response.' Russia does this because it still has the missiles and the will to kill Ukrainians," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

Meanwhile, Russia on Monday announced the completion of a partial mobilization ordered by president Putin last month. Moscow said it had called up 300,000 reservists in a little more than a month, and no more are needed.

However, a senior senator from Russia's ruling party on Tuesday suggested that the president might not issue a formal decree calling an end amid fears among Russians that the mobilizations could still be restarted, reported Reuters.
