7 Pot Smoking, Weed Loving, Ganja-Inspired Green Wednesday & Thanksgiving Cannabis Ideas

Did you know that over the years marijuana has become a staple at the Thanksgiving dinner table? Yes, each year brings new recipes and options to serve cannabis-infused food right next to your juicy Thanksgiving turkey. It could be weed-infused turkey gravy or a THC-infused non-alcoholic beverage to wash it all down.

That’s right, as many Americans find family holidays to be a bit stressful and tinged with family drama waiting to happen, some have decided to turn to weed to help tone things down. Others, with less stressful dining situations, might put some weed on the menu to fire up those joyful moments. It depends. Either way, everyone is ready for the giving season.

According to a recent survey from cannabis company, Ayr Wellness Inc. AYR AYRWF and a global market research platform Suzy, 70% of 1,600 respondents stocking up on marijuana for the holidays said they're buying enough to share with friends and family. Holidays ARE times for sharing!

The survey also revealed that 24% of respondents plan to spend $100 or more on cannabis, some 34% are likely to serve THC-infused food, and more than 65% will choose cannabis over alcohol for their “Danksgiving” celebrations. With this data, it’s obvious why Green Wednesday, the Thanksgiving pre-party, has become a much bigger deal than Black Friday or Cyber Monday in states that have legalized adult-use cannabis.

This Thanksgiving, we rounded up a few ganja-inspired ideas whether you're looking for something for yourself or your stoner friends.

Kicking off the list with something to boost your immunity over the holiday season – Sunmed Immune + Capsules. A great option for those people in your life (or yourself) who like to enjoy the benefits of the plant, but stay away from that high note. Or anyone looking to stay healthy throughout the winter. Each bottle comes with 30 hemp oil capsules filled with essential oils, 1000mg of cannabinoids, vitamin C and zinc. Sunmed Immune capsules are CBGA and CBD-dominant for proper immune maintenance.

2. Next on our list is THC Diamond Dust in Helmand Valley Growers Company’s new Chillums. These pre-packed, eco-friendly glass pipes can be refilled with any flower of your choosing after first use. The original flower is packed with THC diamond dust and the best part is that all profits will go to help military veterans. Chillums, available in several dispensaries in California, make an ideal gift not only for one-time use but something your family and friends can use time and again and think of you. Plus, you’ll be helping veterans. What better time to express your compassion during the holidays than with this purchase with a higher purpose (pun intended)!

The price tag: $20 a pop.

Each can packs 5mg of top-notch THC, old-school caffeine and real cane sugar for absolute delight. It’s like your childhood favorite soda, but with an adult-only kick. The best part...no hangover!

4. Another non-THC item on our list, though an important one as it can help combat pain is Carefree Pain Relief Topical packs 500mg CBD, vitamin B3 and several pain-relieving botanical extracts, such as Szechuan and Peppercorn. The topical, which helps reduce inflammation, contains chickweed to soothe irritated skin as well as Myrrh oil to speed up your natural recovery process. If anyone in your family suffers from joint or muscle aches, perhaps this natural topical could provide some ease to them.
