Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Offers Double-Date, Tetris Reward For This Charitable Challenge

Apple Inc AAPL co-founder Steve Wozniak says he's donating a double date with him and his wife as a part of a charitable challenge.

What Happened: Wozniak made the announcement on Twitter saying the donation is a part of a challenge in support of the Inspiring Children Foundation, which supports underprivileged youth.

The winning bid on the challenge will get to meet Wozniak, also known as the Woz, and his wife Janet for dinner, according to the event's web page.

Following dinner, there will be a chance to play Gameboy Tetris together and the Apple co-founder will show a schematic of the first computer motherboard he built.

The winner of the challenge will leave with an original Apple II Computer, a brand new Apple Watch Ultra Plus, and a pair of Woz's signature blue Nike sneakers — all items will be signed by him. A selfie of the evening together will also be tweeted by Wozniak.

Why It Matters: With nearly 8 days left for the winner to be finalized, the highest current bid is $26,000 from among 21 bids.

Wozniak, age 72 years, founded Apple with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne in 1976. He built his first computer even before useful microprocessors were created.

One of Wozniak's earliest Apple-1 computers was sold for $500,000 at an auction in November 2021.
