Bitcoin BTC/USD, the most valued cryptocurrency in the world, recorded losses, but traded above the key $17,000 level on Friday. The Federal Reserve, on Wednesday, raised its target fed funds rate by 0.5% to a new range of between 4.25% and 4.5%, in light with expectations from Wall Street.
Ethereum ETH/USD, also traded lower, dropping below the $1,300 mark.
OKB OKB/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Trust Wallet Token TWT/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $825.30 billion, recording a 24-hour decline of 3.5%. BTC was trading lower by 3.1% at $17,012, while ETH fell by around 5.2% to $1,211 on Friday.
