The cannabis record for the "longest joint in the world" is held by Massachusetts.

In 2017, at the Harvest Cup in Massachusetts, a group of local experts rolled a joint that reached 100 feet in length and required 2.2 pounds of cannabis to fill it, reported La Marihuana.

Assertively, this record was named and certified as the longest joint in the world.

Keith Laham, architect, and creator of this joint said in an interview that they had been training for several months. “It's impossible to roll a 98.4-foot joint by bunching up the papers and just dropping the dry material on top of them. But when it's done in sections and with several people working as a team, we can do it,” he said.

The Longest Joint: An International Success

The team led by Laham, integrated by 40 people, used about 2.2 pounds of cannabis flowers and more than 2195 square feet of paper to put together the winning joint.

"To be honest, I'd like to know who has powerful enough lungs to smoke all the way," said Patrick Breton, who helped break the record.

"It's almost impossible to smoke it, so we're going to break it up into sections, probably stack it on top of each other, use more paper because we're going to have to roll it tighter," said Andrew Mutty, who was also part of the world's longest joint team.

In Massachusetts, adult use of cannabis has been legal since 2016. People over the age of 21 can keep up to 10 ounces of buds inside their homes and carry up to 1 ounce of public thoroughfares. However, the use of cannabis in public spaces is illegal.

Breaking Records

Previously, the record was held by the "Bazooka Blunt", which was assembled in Los Angeles, California. The joint required 2 pounds of cannabis and cost around USD 10,000 at the legal market price in the USA.
Moreover, “the longest CBD joint” was created in Tennessee. The owner of a CBD dispensary rolled a joint out of hemp flowers (CBD) that was 148 ft.
