Despite Elon Musk’s rollercoaster ride as Twitter CEO, the microblogging site has propelled to the number one spot for “U.S. News” in Apple App Store ranking.

Twitter’s ranking shook up a little in December and earlier this month, but on Jan. 9, it was back to number one. Since Musk started his CEO journey, the lowest the platform has ranked was 11, the report noted.
Why It’s Important: Musk’s journey as Twitter chief has been a rollercoaster ride with several controversies, chaos and severe backlash from netizens.

In December, Musk conducted a poll asking Twitter users if he should step down as the company’s CEO — and most people voted for him to step down. In contrast, when rapper Snoop Dogg asked users if he should sit on the social media company’s throne, tweeps were more than happy to have him onboard.
