Tesla Inc TSLA is known to have some of the safest cars on the road.
Independent testing from multiple organizations such as the IIHS and NHTSA showed Tesla vehicles achieved top scores in multiple safety tests. And now a new set of tests from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) reiterated the safety of the latest Tesla vehicles.

The Tesla Model S received a 5-star safety rating and the best-in-class award for the executive car category and the pure electric category, with the following safety ratings:
- Adult Occupant 94%
- Child Occupant 91%
- Pedestrian 85%
- Safety Assist 98%
The Tesla Model Y received a 5-star safety rating and the best-in-class award for the small off-roader category, with the following safety ratings:
- Adult Occupant 97%
- Child Occupant 87%
- Pedestrian 82%
- Safety Assist 98%
Euro NCAP put the Tesla vehicles, along with other brands, through numerous safety and crash tests and Tesla came out on top as it had in the past.
The Model Y is available in Europe, and the refresh Model S just started deliveries in Europe as well.
