Elon Musk's Twitter 2.0 algorithm will show users similar accounts they love to trash.
What Happened: Trashing accounts that users hate will cause the Twitter algorithm to show them more of those accounts, Musk tweeted on Tuesday.
He said it is "not actually wrong" as the algorithm is "keying off" users' interactions with said accounts.
Why It's Important: Musk earlier took to Twitter to clarify a user's question about the microblogging site "actively promoting" more right-wing content to their timeline.
He said people on the right should see more "left-wing" stuff and vice versa.
Many Twitter users, including Grammy-nominated songwriter Rob Graves, expressed their displeasure about how the new Twitter algorithm functions.
Since Musk acquired Twitter, the site has been surrounded by many controversies and not-so-popular updates.
