Donald Trump Says He Trusts Putin More Than US Intelligence 'Lowlifes'

Former President Donald Trump made a controversial statement about U.S. intelligence agencies.

What Happened: Trump, in a post on Truth Social, said he trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin more than the “lowlifes” who work in U.S. intelligence.

"Remember in Helsinki when a 3rd rate reporter asked me, essentially, who I trusted more, President Putin of Russia, or our ‘Intelligence' lowlifes," Trump wrote on his social media platform.

"My instinct at the time was that we had really bad people in the form of James Comey, McCabe (whose wife was being helped out by Crooked Hillary while Crooked was under investigation!), Brennan, Peter Strzok (whose wife is at the SEC) & his lover, Lisa Page. Now add McGonigal & other slime to the list. Who would you choose, Putin or these Misfits?," he added.

This is not the first time Trump denounced the U.S. intelligence agencies. In 2018, the former president sent shockwaves through the country when he first famously described it while standing next to Putin. Trump's comments drew massive flak from both Republicans and Democrats.

In 2021 also Trump said "it should be obvious" who he trusts between Moscow and Washington intelligence.

Last week, Trump once again offered to negotiate to end the Russia-Ukraine war and said he could end Putin’s unprecedented war in Ukraine "within 24 hours."
