Ford Recalls Over 1.5M Vehicles Including Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX Midsize Cars, F-150 Pickups

  • Ford Motor Co F prepared to recall over 1.5 million vehicles in the U.S. in two actions to fix leaky brake hoses and windshield wiper arms.
  • The largest of two recalls covers nearly 1.3 million 2013 - 2018 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX midsize cars, AP News reports.
  • Ford says the front brake hoses can rupture and leak brake fluid, increasing brake pedal travel and making stopping distances longer.

  • Dealers will replace the hoses. Ford will notify owners from April 17. 
  • Ford says it is aware of one crash.
  • The second recall covers over 222,000 F-150 pickups from 2021. The windshield wiper arms can break.
  • Dealers will replace the arms if required. Ford will notify owners starting March 27.
  • Price Action: F shares traded lower by 1.02% at $11.70 premarket on the last check Friday.
