From Soccer Field To Oval Office: 'Ted Lasso' Cast To Visit Joe Biden Today

The cast of the hit Apple Inc. AAPL Apple TV+ series “Ted Lasso” will visit the White House on Monday to discuss the importance of mental health with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. 

What Happened: The actors of the two-time Emmy Award-winning comedy series, whose third season premiered on March 15, will discuss the importance of mental health to promote overall well-being with the President and First Lady, reported NBC News.

According to an Apple TV+ statement, the guests will include Jason Sudeikis, an Emmy-winning comedian and actor, who portrays the titular soccer coach in the show. 

President Biden teased the appearance with his 30 million followers on Twitter. 

It is pertinent to note that last year in September Biden himself was surrounded by questions regarding "mental acuity" after he searched for a congresswoman who died a month before during a conference. 

For the unversed, in this highly praised series, Ted Lasso, portrayed by Sudeikis, takes on the role of an American football coach who is appointed to lead a British soccer team, despite having no prior experience. However, his positivity, unwavering spirit, and love for biscuits compensate for his lack of expertise.

The cast also includes esteemed actors such as Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.
