Diplo's LSD-Fueled Marathon Run Sheds Light On Psychedelics Use In Athletic Performance

Diplo recently ran the Los Angeles Marathon in a solid 3 hours and 35 minutes — after taking LSD.

In a video, the DJ and music producer (whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz) prepared an LSD+water mix for the race, using five drops of the psychedelic concentrate.

Low doses of LSD are said to boost mood, sensory perception and energy. However, no scientific evidence backs that taking psychedelics actually helps to perform better at athletic tasks.

Nonetheless, we do count on several first-person testimonies by people the size of Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers quarterback, who credited his “best season” to taking ayahuasca.
