Eighty-eight of golf's finest players are teeing off Thursday in the 87th Masters Tournament, one of four major tournaments and arguably the most prestigious of them all.
What To Know: The Masters at Augusta National is the only tournament held at a private golf club. Although the field is playing for a total of $15 million in prize money with $2.7 million going to the champion, the real prize is the coveted green jacket.
The green jacket, which players can wear for one year outside of the grounds before having to keep it stored in the Champions Locker Room, represents a Masters victory, a lifetime membership to Augusta and a five-year exemption on the PGA tour.
With the tournament being the first major of the year, many sportsbooks are running betting specials throughout the course of the weekend. Here's a look at some ways to try to take home some cash alongside the winners.

Ways To Play: Even if you don't know a thing about golf, most know the name Tiger Woods. The golfing legend is back in the field this year after missing the cut in 2022 — just 13 months after suffering a broken leg among other injuries due to a life-threatening car crash. Many didn't expect much from him last year, but this year could be different.
DraftKings Inc DKNG ran a special on the five-time Masters champion, boosting his odds to finish in the top 20 this year. If you want to bet on him to win outright, a $100 bet would pay $18,000 on DraftKings Sportsbook and $21,000 at Flutter Entertainment PLC's PDYPF FanDuel Sportsbook.
World number one Scottie Scheffler entered the tournament as the favorite. Current odds are pegged at +700 at the time of writing, even with world number two Rory McIlroy, who is chasing a career Grand Slam.
McIlroy has been in the mix several times, including a runner-up finish last year, but the Masters remains the only major he is yet to win.
Augusta is famously known as a shotmaker's course and Justin Thomas is a premier shotmaker. DraftKings has him listed at +1600, but Caesars Entertainment Inc CZR has the former world number one at +1800, returning $1900 on a $100 bet.
Thomas' good friend and co-star in the first episode of Netflix Inc's NFLX "Full Swing," Jordan Spieth is on a heater. He's finished top six in three of the last 5 tournaments he's played and he has a history of playing well on Easter Sunday.
Spieth won the 2021 Valero Texas Open on Easter and then won the 2022 RBC Heritage on Easter the following year. He won the 2015 Masters (his first major) at the age of 21 and he ranks third on the all-time earners list at the Masters behind Tiger and Phil Mickelson.
Mickelson is a long shot this year, but could be worth a look. The left-handed legend, now playing on the LIV Golf tour, has won three green jackets and he's listed around +20000 on most sportsbooks including PENN Entertainment Inc's PENN Barstool Sportsbook, but you can get "Lefty" at +30000 on DraftKings. That means a $100 bet would pay $30,000.
You can watch the tournament, "a tradition unlike any other," online on the Masters website and TV coverage will be split between Walt Disney Co's DIS ESPN and Paramount Global's PARA CBS.
