Homeless Billionaires? AI Artist Renders Shocking Imaginations Of Warren Buffett, Donald Trump, Elon Musk

  • An AI artist has created a thought-provoking art series that reimagines how some of the world's wealthiest people would look like if they were poor. 

What Happened: Gokul Pillai, an AI artist, shared these portraits on Instagram, where he has 34.5K followers. He used Midjourney, an AI program that uses text-based prompts to generate seemingly realistic but fake images.

The art series consists of AI-generated fake images of business tycoons like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren BuffettDonald TrumpMark Zuckerberg and Mukesh Ambani. These billionaires are shown in slums wearing simple rags.

Why It's Important: Last month, an AI-generated fake image of Pope Francis wearing a gigantic white puffer jacket became viral on social media forums like Reddit and Twitter

AI-powered tools have also been used to create fake images of former U.S. President Trump getting arrested. 

While all the aforementioned AI-generated images could be kept under the non-harmful category, it doesn't undermine concerns about AI tools being abused.

Previously, several users complained about seeing ads for a deep fake app that showed "Harry Potter" fame Emma Watson's face being swapped onto a suggestive video. Some female Twitch streamers also complained about similar issues.
