Sick Of Ad Overload? Here's How To Make Your Android Phone Or Tablet Ads-Free Like A Pro

Are you tired of seeing ads pop up on your Android phone or tablet every time you use it? Don't worry, we've got you covered with these pro tips on how to block them and enjoy a hassle-free mobile experience.

What Happened: Users who use smartphones or tablets running on Alphabet Inc.'s GOOG GOOGL Android operating system often experience the frustration of being bombarded with uncalled-for advertisements.

While some of these pop-ups may be necessary for the revenue of websites and apps, others can be downright annoying and even dangerous (containing malware).

Fortunately, there are ways to block these pesky ads like a pro and enjoy a seamless mobile experience.

Here are some effective methods to keep unnecessary ads at bay and make your Android device experience more enjoyable.

Step I: How To Remove Problematic Apps

Start by removing recently downloaded apps by opening your Android phone or tablet in "Safe mode." To do this, press and hold your device's power button and touch and hold the Power Off icon. Once the device starts, you will see a safe mode written at the bottom of the screen.

Once you get to Safe mode, start removing recently downloaded apps and after each removal, restart the device normally to check whether it has solved the problem. Users can download the apps back, barring the one that raised the issue.

Step II: How To Stop Unnecessary Notifications

If you are getting notifications from a certain website, open the Chrome app and go to a webpage. Tap on More (right of the address bar) and then Settings, after that, tap Site settings and under the Permissions category tap Notifications. Turn the setting off.

Bonus: If you don't see Permissions or Notifications, the site doesn't have notifications turned on.

Step III: How To Turn Pop-Ups On Or Off

Open the Chrome app on your Android phone or tablet. Now go to the address bar and tap More, then Settings. Now tap Permissions, then Pop-ups and redirects. Finally, Turn off Pop-ups and redirects.

Apart from the aforementioned steps, users are also advised to keep their Play Protect on by simply going to Google Play Store app, Menu and then Play Protect. Make sure to Turn on the Scan device for security threats.
