Cybertruck Vs. Wind Tunnel: New Tesla Model Spotted Testing At Gigafactory Texas

A recent drone video by Brad Sloan, shared by Tesmanian, revealed the Tesla Inc TSLA Cybertruck being tested in a Giga Texas wind tunnel.

The test appeared to focus on the performance of a massive windshield wiper rather than the truck's aerodynamics.

During the test, a Tesla employee was seen splashing water on the windshield while the wiper cleared it away. The wind tunnel simulated high-speed conditions. The wiper setup featured a single arm mounted on the left side of the windshield, contrary to the double-hinged wiper seen in most vehicles.

The Cybertruck prototype has also been spotted at Tesla's Fremont factory in California with multiple measurement devices and steel wheels, indicating ongoing chassis testing. Other design elements, such as triangular side mirrors and new windshield wipers, have been noticed on prototypes around California.

Production of the Tesla Cybertruck is expected to begin later this year. Since then, Tesla shared a video of a Cybertruck crash test, sparking a range of reactions from Twitter users. Additionally, a TikTok video revealed Tesla testing the prototype's steering, which CEO Elon Musk claimed might be better than that of a Model Y.
