What's Going On With Vanguard S&P 500 ETF Today

Vanguard S&P 500 ETF VOO is trading higher today. The ETF has the highest exposure to Apple Inc AAPL, followed by Microsoft Corp MSFT. It has an exposure of ~14% in the stocks combined.

It has an exposure of close to 3% in Amazon.Com Inc AMZN, its third largest holding after Apple and Microsoft.

The ETF has the highest exposure to the technology sector at 27%.

VOO saw a net AUM outflow of $(5.08) billion in the last five days versus an inflow of $12.37 billion last month. 

IShares Core S&P 500 ETF IVV with similar holdings also observed similar outflow during the period. SPDR S&P 500 SPY saw an inflow of $1.67 billion in five days, with a $3.14 billion influx on April 25.

VOO saw an AUM outflow of $(4.57) billion on Tuesday, April 26. Microsoft reported better-than-expected results for its third quarter on Tuesday. Microsoft said third-quarter revenue increased 7% year-over-year to $52.9 billion, beating consensus estimates of $51.02 billion. 

The company reported quarterly earnings of $2.45 per share, which beat estimates of $2.23 per share and was up 10% year-over-year. Microsoft gained 8.4% in the last five days. The stock grabbed eyeballs this year by collaborating with ChatGPT owner OpenAI leading the generative AI game.

On Thursday, Amazon reported Q1 financial results after the market close. Amazon reported first-quarter revenue of $127.4 billion, up 9% year-over-year, ahead of a Street consensus estimate of $124.53 billion. The company reported earnings per share of 35 cents in the first quarter, beating a Street estimate of 21 cents.

Apple will report earnings on May 4 after the market close. 

Price Action: VOO shares traded higher by 0.35% at $380.13 on the last check Friday.
