Morocco has officially begun its first legal cannabis growing season, two years after the country's parliament legalized the activity. The initial batch of cannabis seeds was imported from Switzerland and distributed to farmers and agricultural co-operatives in the northern provinces of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen and Taounate, per The National News.

Austria: A new report provides a comprehensive overview of the current regulatory landscape for CBD, hemp, and cannabis in Austria. From the cultivation and processing of hemp to finished products and extracts, as well as medical and recreational cannabis policies, the "Austria: CBD and Cannabis Regulation 2022" report covers it all, per a press release. Meanwhile, officials in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh are intensifying their study of hemp's potential for various medical, health, and environmental applications. A government committee is exploring cannabis policy and assessing the market and revenue potential for a robust hemp program, which could create job opportunities. According to Hemp Today, it is also reviewing the impact of hemp regulation in neighboring states with advanced hemp programs, with a goal to attract investment and improve the economic prospects of impoverished rural areas.
