Early Volume Plays Among Those Valued Below $10 (MIND, ALOY, TTIL, DSCO)

Some of the stocks that are valued below $10 and have the potential to become one of the high volume movers in the early trading hours are: The seismic equipment leasing company Mitcham Industries MIND announced today that its Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.11 a share on revenue of $16.5 million beat analyst estimates of a profit of $0.09 a share on revenue of $15.1 million. The stock jumped 21.9%, to $6.90 in pre-market hours. MIND has a 50-day average daily volume of 27,000. The media and marketing company Alloy ALOY announced today that its front line marketing business has been sold to Acosta Sales and Marketing in a $36 million transaction. After the news, shares of ALOY climbed 8.3%, to $7.80 in the pre-market session. The company has a 50-day average daily volume of 16,000. TTI Team Telecom International Ltd TTIL soared 19.4% to $2.89 in the pre-market session. The global supplier of Operations Support Systems (OSS), TTIL, is going to be acquired by TEOCO Corporation for nearly $58 million. The 50-day average daily volume for TTI Team Telecom International is 88,000. Discovery Laboratories DSCO announced today that its investigational drug candidate surfaxin, for the treatment of acute respiratory failure in children, has "appeared generally safe and well tolerated," as revealed in its Phase 2 clinical trial results. "Statistically significant differences in the incidence of bradycardia and desaturation were observed in the Surfaxin treatment group during the dosing period versus the control treatment group," the company said.
