The highly anticipated addition to the renowned Mortal Kombat video game franchise, Mortal Kombat 1, is scheduled for worldwide release on Sept. 19, 2023.
Contrary to expectations of being named Mortal Kombat 12, the upcoming installment has adopted the title Mortal Kombat 1. This choice stems from hints provided in earlier teasers, indicating that Mortal Kombat 1 serves as a quasi-reboot for the franchise.
