What Happened: In a significant development, Twitter appears to be expanding its Voice Messaging feature in direct messages or DMs to additional markets.
On Friday, users in the U.S. and across Europe started reporting a new pop-up message encouraging the use of voice messages for private communication.

The microblogging site initially tested the Voice Message feature in India two years ago — long before Musk acquired Twitter.
Why It’s Important: The latest Twitter Voice Message feature coincides with the Musk-owned platform’s introduction of encrypted DMs.
Subsequently, Musk has confirmed Linda Yaccarino as the new Twitter CEO. The tech billionaire will transition into the role of Twitter’s CTO, where he will oversee the platform’s product, software and sysops divisions.
