Netflix Options Activity Surges As Shares Gain, Calls Outpace Puts 2 to 1

Netflix, Inc. NFLX shares recorded gains on Thursday.

On CNBC’s "Options Action,"  Mike Khouw of Optimize Advisors said Netflix was one of the busiest single stock options and traded above average volume on Thursday. Calls outpaced puts volume by more than 2 to 1 during the session.

There were buyers of 8,470 of the June 500-calls at an average price of $1.06 per contract, Khouw mentioned.

The traders expect Netflix’s stock to continue its rally through the end of June.

Netflix recently launched new features to help members with the password-sharing transition, including transferring a profile to a new membership account and adding an extra member to their account for $7.99 a month.

Price Action: Netflix’s shares gained 2% to close at $403.13 on Thursday, and added 0.59% during Friday’s premarket trading session.
