Airbus SE EADSY confirms the order for 500 A320 Family aircraft by Indian airline IndiGo, marking the largest single purchase deal in commercial aviation history. The financial terms were not disclosed.
This order takes the total number of Airbus aircraft on order by IndiGo to 1,330.
In early June, Reuters reported that Airbus is nearing a potentially record contract to sell 500 narrow-body A320-family jets to IndiGo.
Also, Airbus finalized a few other orders at the Paris Airshow. Air Mauritius confirmed an order for three A350 aircraft to expand its network in Europe and South Asia.

Saudi Arabia's flynas ordered 30 new A320neo Family aircraft, taking the airline's total order with Airbus to 120 A320neo aircraft, including 10 A321XLRs.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) finalized a purchase agreement with Airbus to order nine A350-1000 long-range aircraft.
Australia's Qantas Airways Ltd. QABSY Group finalized an incremental order for nine A220-300s, bringing its total backlog for the single-aisle type to 29 aircraft.
Price Action: EADSY shares closed higher by 0.37% at $35.64 on Friday.
