Twitter Brings This Instagram-like Feature To Showcase Your Favorite Tweets: Here's How To Use It

Elon Musk-owned Twitter has now brought a new Instagram-like feature, allowing users to highlight their favorite tweets and help them stand out.

What Happened: The new Twitter Highlights feature allows users to showcase their favorite tweets and gain more traction on them. This is similar to the Highlights feature on Meta Platforms Inc.-owned META Instagram, which lets users showcase their favorite photos and reels.

Until now, Twitter allowed users to pin one tweet to the top of their profile.

The Twitter Highlights feature was being tested for several weeks, and it is now finally available to all users. That said, users will need a Twitter Blue subscription to highlight their tweets.

How It Works: The highlighted tweets will appear in a separate Twitter tab. But before getting started, you will need to buy a Twitter Blue subscription. Once you've subscribed, follow these steps:

  • Select the tweet you want to highlight.
  • Now, tap on the three-dot button and look for the ‘Highlight on your profile' option, and tap on it.
  • Your chosen tweet will now appear in a separate "Highlights" tab.

This feature is the latest in line that Twitter is pushing to drive its paid subscriptions. Another key feature of Twitter Blue is that users will see two times more tweets between ads on the "For You" and "Following" timelines.

The Twitter Blue subscription also lets users edit tweets, post tweets with up to 10,000 characters and get prioritized rankings when compared to free users.
