Worksport Opens Automotive Research & Development Center In Missouri

Worksport Ltd WKSP has opened an automotive product Research & Development (R&D) Center in Springfield, Missouri.

The location, in the heartland of the U.S., is known for its vibrant truck culture, positioning the company at the center of its target demographic.

The R&D Center will be staffed initially by Worksport engineers, with over 70 patents across the automotive, consumer products, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors.

The intention to house the product development team in a separate facility from the manufacturing facility in New York represents a strategic move towards a more intensive R&D focus, unencumbered by daily manufacturing operations.

"Our Missouri R&D team is set to generate and incubate new ideas, build and test prototypes, evaluate innovative materials and processes to cut costs, and continuously refine our existing product line,” said CEO Steven Rossi.

Price Action: WKSP shares traded higher by 2.90% at $2.48 on the last check Monday.
