Nubia today launched the world's first smartphone with 24GB of RAM, beating beasts like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and OnePlus 11 with 50% more memory. The Nubia Red Magic 8S Pro is a gaming smartphone armed to the brim with top-tier hardware and more memory than you will ever need in a smartphone.
What Happened: Nubia Red Magic 8S Pro is the world's first 24GB RAM phone. Paired with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 chipset, the Red Magic 8S Pro is the world's most powerful smartphone this year so far.

Nubia has always aimed at gamers with its flagship Red Magic smartphones, using top-tier hardware and often besting existing flagship smartphones from companies like Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus in terms of hardware. For instance, the Red Magic 8S Pro has 50% more memory than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Its predecessor, the Red Magic 8 Pro, was powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM. Nubia has now upped the ante in both aspects with the Red Magic 8S Pro.
Gaming Beast: It's not just the flagship hardware – Nubia has also included a feature called ICE 12.0 cooling system, that includes a 3D vapor chamber and a graphene heat sink. The idea is to keep the phone as cool as possible, and this is important for gaming phones that are usually under more stress due to extended gaming sessions.
The cooling system also includes thermal paste and an air duct with 20,000 rotations per minute (RPM) fan. Topping it off is a red-green-blue (RGB) lighting system on the fan to complete the gaming look.
Red Magic 8S Pro Features: Apart from this, the Red Magic 8S Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 960Hz. Nubia has included two triggers that boost the sampling rate to 520Hz on the fly for a smooth user experience.
The phone has a 6,000mAh battery which can be quickly topped up with a 165W fast charger. It has a 50MP primary camera and a 16MP selfie camera. There are two other cameras on the back that Nubia has not given the details of yet.
Despite its beastly hardware, the Nubia Red Magic 8S Pro is priced relatively aggressively – it starts at CNY 4,000 (approx. $550) and goes up to CNY 7,500 (approx. $1,035) for the top-tier 24GB version with a whopping 1TB storage.
