Britney Spears Allegedly Struck In Face By Victor Wembanyana's Security In Attempted Photo Op

Former pop superstar Britney Spears experienced an unpleasant encounter while attempting to take a photo with NBA rookie Victor Wembanyana at a casino hotel in Las Vegas. Spears reported that Wembanyana's security guard struck her in the face, resulting in her glasses falling off.

The police are aware of the incident and taking it “as serious as a heart attack” according to TMZ. Wembanyana explained that he had felt someone trying to reach him from behind for a photograph, but he didn't realize until hours later that it was Britney Spears who had attempted to get a picture with him.

Spears called the incident “super embarrassing” while addressing it in an Instagram story. Wembanya said that his security detail had specifically instructed him not to stop for any pictures while walking in order to avoid any crowds forming. 

"I couldn't stop. That person was calling me, 'Sir, sir,' and that person grabbed me from behind," Wembanyana said in an interview with ESPN. "That person grabbed me from behind -- not on my shoulder, she grabbed me from behind. I just know the security pushed her away. I don't know with how much force, but security pushed her away. I didn't stop to look, so I could walk in and enjoy a nice dinner."

Wembanyana, whose height is officially listed as 7'5", but who some believe to be even taller, will indeed be easy to recognize by fans. Given his distinct stature, he is likely to attract attention and crowds wherever he travels in the U.S. He is widely regarded as the biggest NBA prospect since LeBron James.
