Gas Natural 2012 Net Profit Rises 8.8%

Spain's gas distributor Gas Natural SA GASNY reported an 8.8% increase in its 2012 net profit. Gas Natural's net profit for the period surged to 1.44 billion euros ($1.92 billion), from EUR1.32 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue rose to EUR24.9 billion from EUR21.08 billion, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization climbed to EUR5.08 billion from EUR4.65 billion.
