YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has filed a lawsuit against his food delivery partner, Virtual Dining Concepts, alleging that the company’s poor quality control has damaged his reputation, NBC News reports.
Quality Control Issues: Donaldson, who partnered with the Florida-based virtual dining brand to launch MrBeast Burger in December 2020, is now seeking to end his agreement with the company. He claims that his complaints about the quality of the food served to customers “fell on deaf ears.”
MrBeast was quoted as saying, “Customers have referred to the burgers as being ‘disgusting,’ ‘revolting,’ and ‘inedible.’ They have claimed that ‘it is sad that MrBeast would put his name on this,’ ‘MrBeast is being cancelled over burgers;' ‘never had something so nasty;' ‘inaccurate marketing;' ‘Orlando's worst burger;' ‘big name, poor food;' ‘very upsetting for the high price;' and ‘likely the worst burger I have ever had.”

Trademark Violations: The lawsuit also alleges that Virtual Dining Concepts used Donaldson’s images without permission and registered MrBeast-related trademarks without his consent. Despite the negative reviews, MrBeast Burger generated “millions of dollars,” but Donaldson claims he has not received any payment.
Donaldson has previously faced backlash for his snack brand Feastables, but he stated in a tweet that he enjoys “Feastables 100x more” than MrBeast Burger. He also admitted that he can’t guarantee the quality of the orders, which led to the decision to end his agreement with Virtual Dining Concepts.
