Former FBI Agent Reveals 'Suppressed' Investigations Into Giuliani And Trump Allies

A veteran agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alleges suppression of Donald Trump-related investigations by superiors, Business Insider reports.

The former agent has claimed that his supervisor instructed him to halt investigations into Rudy Giuliani and to sever ties with sources reporting on corruption linked to associates of former president Trump. This revelation comes from a whistleblower complaint acquired by Insider.

The agent, with 14 years of service, alleges in a 22-page statement that there was “a highly suspicious suppression of investigations and intelligence-gathering” to shield “politically active figures” linked to Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. This protection reportedly extended to anyone in the Trump White House and Trump’s associates.

Prepared for the Senate Judiciary Committee, the statement was leaked in mid-July to a Substack newsletter. While Insider has confirmed the complaint’s authenticity, not all claims have been verified.

The whistleblower, whose name remains undisclosed due to concerns about retaliation, stated his motivation was to enhance the F.B.I.’s integrity. He emphasized the bureau’s crucial role in holding policymakers accountable.

In August 2022, the agent was instructed to cease investigations into Giuliani and the Trump White House. This directive came after what the agent describes as consistent attempts to obstruct his work. The agent’s investigations into potential misconduct by Trump’s affiliates date back to Trump’s tenure in the White House.
