Elon Musk has taken his cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg up a notch, suggesting a forthcoming “practice session” to teach the Meta CEO an unforgettable lesson.
What Happened: In reaction to Zuckerberg’s assertion that he’s been ready to take on the challenge posed by Musk since day one, the tech billionaire has now proposed a “practice session” that promises to leave an indelible mark on his opponent.
Musk’s reply came after Zuckerberg seemingly questioned his credibility in actually participating in the highly-anticipated “cage match.”

“I could just head over to his house next week and teach him a lesson he won’t soon forget,” Musk posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
For the unversed, it all started in June when Musk proposed to get into a cage fight with Zuckerberg. The Meta CEO subsequently responded with a “send me location” post on Instagram, and the world went abuzz.
The following month, the friction between the tech duo became more visible when Zuckerberg rolled out Threads, a new social media platform dubbed as “Twitter killer.”
Why It’s Important: Earlier this month, Musk said he might need surgery before the proposed fight with Zuckerberg.
“Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week,” he said at the time.
Prior to that, Zuckerberg proposed Aug. 26 for the cage fight. “I’m ready today.”
