Faraday Future Rolls Forward: Limited Edition FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance Nears Vehicle Delivery

California-based EV startup Faraday Future Intelligent Electric FFIE is revving up to deliver its first FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance.

What Happened: The company said on Saturday that it has completed all the necessary processes prior to vehicle delivery, including the sales agreement, final invoice, final vehicle inspection at its factory in California, and pre-delivery inspection process before the delivery ceremony.

“We’re getting ready for transporting the vehicle to our customers!” the company said in a post on social media platform X. “Mark your calendar for the delivery ceremony broadcast on 8/15!”

The Palantir Technologies-backed company intends to hold additional customized delivery ceremonies for the first batch of car buyers, it said in a statement. The delivery campaign will be broadcast at 6:00 PM PST on Aug. 15 across various platforms.

The first user to take delivery of the vehicle is from Private Collection Motors, a dealership near Costa Mesa.

Why It Matters: The FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance was launched in May. It is priced at $309,000 and is currently limited to 300 units globally. 

The vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.27 seconds and achieve a top speed of 155 mph. It has an EPA-certified range of 381 miles and a 142 kWh battery.

Though the deliveries were initially expected to kickstart by the end of the second quarter, it was delayed to August citing the supplier’s timing constraints and the time needed for additional safety testing.
