Matt Miksic and Roshni Sacks, analysts at Piper Jaffray, have released a client note on the Medical Technology & Hospital Supplies industry with a focus on Alcon Inc. ACL and Johnson & Johnson JNJ. The analysts have maintained their Neutral rating on both the stocks in spite of recent selling pressure.
The sales for both companies are slightly above estimates for the second quarter of 2010. However, there are downside risks which the analysts think may become more prominent. These downside risks include a weak European market, continued weakening of the Euro currency and pricing pressures across Europe.
