Bitcoin BTC/USD moved slightly higher, with the cryptocurrency prices trading above the $29,300 level on Tuesday.

Ethereum ETH/USD meanwhile edged lower, but remained above the $1,800 mark this morning.

Retail sales in the U.S. rose 0.7% month-over-month in July, beating market expectations for a 0.4% growth. Export prices in the U.S. rose 0.7 percent month-over-month in July, while import prices increased 0.4% month-over-month in July.

Sei SEI/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Bone Pepe PEPE/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $1.17 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 0.1%. BTC was trading higher by 0.1% at $29,343 while ETH fell by around 0.2% to $1,840 on Tuesday.
