There's a crisis brewing in the Tech YouTube community as popular YouTubers Gamers Nexus and Linus Tech Tips lock horns. While it has nothing to do with competition, Gamers Nexus has underlined inaccuracy and ethical concerns with Linus Tech Tips, among other issues.
What Happened: Stephen Burke, the head of Gamers Nexus, has highlighted a range of issues with Linus Tech Tips, especially in the wake of the RTX 4090 debacle.

The Linus Media Group, owned by Linus Sebastian, runs one of the largest tech channels on YouTube, Linus Tech Tips. Launched in 2008, the LTT channel has grown huge, with over 15 million subscribers and nearly 90 employees since then.
The rapid expansion has also led to a lot of issues creeping through. Inaccuracies, conflict of interest, and misinformation are the issues that Stephen pointed out on his channel Gamers Nexus, which has nearly 2 million subscribers.
The RTX 4090 Debacle: One of the first issues pointed out by Gamers Nexus with LTT is the RTX 4090 graphics card review.
LTT said in its RTX 4090 review that the latest graphics card from Nvidia outperformed the previous generation by a massive 300% when the reality is a 72-75% performance jump.
Another controversial issue that is highlighted in Gamers Nexus' 44-minute-long video is how LTT wrongly used a GPU water block made by Billet Labs for the RTX 3090 Ti with the more powerful RTX 4090. This resulted in the water block not working properly and LTT recommending its viewers not to buy it.
To make matters worse, Billet Labs requested LTT to return the water block since it was its best prototype. LTT instead went ahead and auctioned it.
Linus' Response: Responding to the Gamers Nexus video, Linus called out the lack of "proper journalistic practices".
"To Steve, I expressed my disappointment that he didn’t go through proper journalistic practices in creating this piece. He has my email and number (along with numerous other members of our team) and could have asked me for context that may have proven to be valuable," Linus said, adding that he will "move forward in good faith".
However, users on the LTT forum were split, with many of them calling out the company and agreeing with Gamers Nexus, while a few others said it was an overreaction.
"This video covers our serious concerns regarding the data accuracy of Linus Media Group, particularly as it relates to rushing content out the door to favor – by staff’s own admission – quantity over quality," Gamers Nexus said, underlining that data errors are "significant and frequent" in LTT's videos now.
