Former Trump Advisor Predicts Joe Biden Will Skip Presidential Debates: 'They Won't Let Him Out There'

Former Donald Trump advisor, Kellyanne Conway, speculated that President Joe Biden might not participate in any debates in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.

What Happened: Conway, in a Fox News interview, expressed her doubts about Biden’s appearance in any future televised debates with the Republican candidate.

"He won't. They won't let him out there," she said, adding, "They hardly let him out there at all. We don't see much of him."

As per an analysis by The New York Times, Biden has held fewer press conferences than any other president in the past four decades,

Conway also hinted that Vice President Kamala Harris might avoid debates. While there has been no official statement from the Biden administration about this, Conway believes it is a possible scenario.

Why It Matters: The White House Communications Director, Ben LaBolt, defended this strategy, saying their goal is to reach Americans through various media channels, not just Washington-based news outlets or the briefing room.

This speculation by Conway is not the first of its kind. Back in May, Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy accused the Democratic Party of “shielding” Biden from debates.

The 2024 presidential race could see a rematch between Trump and Biden or a new face like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. A new national poll of registered voters showed these three as the potential frontrunners.

Meanwhile, ex-President Trump has also announced his decision not to participate in the first Republican primary debate, leaving questions about his participation in future debates.
