Tesla Offers $500 Rebate On New Powerwall Installations: Here's How to Get Yours

EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA has reached out to its customers to remind them of the $500 rebate they can avail on a new Powerwall installation.

What Happened: For each Powerwall installed, the customer can get a $500 rebate until Oct. 31, 2023. The rebate started two months ago on June 15 and pertains to only Powerwall 2 and Powerwall+.

The Powerwall is an integrated battery system from Tesla that stores solar energy for backup, acting as a guard against power outages or grid failures. 

“With solar and Powerwall, you can generate your own clean energy from the sun and use it to power your home day and night,” the mail to customers, shared by users on social media platform X.com, read.

How To Avail The Rebate: To avail of the offer, the customer has to install their Powerwall between June 15 and Oct. 31.

Once the Powerwall is connected to the internet and registered, a rebate request can be made on the Tesla app. All rebate requests must be completed by Nov. 30 and will be processed and sent within 60 days.

Customers in Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and Saipan are eligible for the offer.
