This Secret Feature On X Was Unknown To Even Elon Musk: Sending Messages To Your Future Self

Did you know that X has a scheduling feature that allows users to create a post 18 months in advance? If not, don’t be surprised; even Elon Musk had no idea about it.

What Happened: On Wednesday, a Twitter, now rebranded as X user, posted, “Did you know you can schedule posts out over 2 years in advance (via web)? Go ahead and write your future self a letter for all the world to see!”

Surprisingly, the tech billionaire, who acquired the microblogging site for $44 billion in October 2022, also didn’t know about this feature.

Naturally, netizens loved the idea of writing a letter or scheduling public reminders for their future self. However, not everyone was aware of the process.

So, here we have to offer a step-by-step process of how to schedule posts on X:

Step I: Log in to your X account and access the profile.

Step II: Click on the “Post” button located in the left menu.

Step III: Write your post, add images, hashtags, and any other elements you desire.

Step IV: Now schedule your post by finding the small schedule icon at the bottom of the content window, and click on it.

Step V: Select the details like date, day and time for your post, and then hit “Confirm.”

Your post is now scheduled.

Why It’s Important: While this scheduling feature works seamlessly via the web, the mobile app doesn’t offer this functionality. Users can access X.com through their mobile browser and follow the same steps to schedule posts 18 months into the future.
