Samsung announces its 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor, set for US release in October.
What happened: Samsung has revealed its massive 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 gaming monitor, akin to two 32-inch 4K displays side-by-side. Priced at $2,499.99, it will be available in the US this October. UK customers can preorder now for £2,199.99.

The Odyssey Neo G9 isn’t entirely new. Samsung teased it last November and officially introduced it at CES in January 2023. The name might ring a bell since Samsung launched a 49-inch version in 2021 but with the resolution of two 1440p displays.
The 2023 model boasts a 57-inch curved Mini LED display, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It offers a resolution of 7,680 x 2,160p, resulting in a 32:9 aspect ratio. While such wide monitors are great for multitasking, they may not be ideal for ultra-wide gaming due to potential warping in 3D games.
For multitasking, the monitor features picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture display modes. It has one DisplayPort 2.1 port, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB hub. It also supports AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro tech.
In October, Samsung announced the 2023 release of its 55-inch Odyssey Ark, available in the US. This display can show up to four inputs simultaneously and includes a built-in KVM switch. Its price remains undisclosed.
