Gamers Can Now Enjoy PlayStation With The Best Audio Experience: Here's How

Sony Group Corp SONY, through its subsidiary Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, inked a deal to acquire an audio technology and high-end gaming headphones brand, Audeze, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition is expected to boost the audio experience of PlayStation games.

Post-buyout, Audeze will continue to operate independently, create multi-platform products, and be a part of the PlayStation ecosystem.

"Audeze is a premier brand for headphones, and this acquisition highlights Sony Interactive's focus on innovation and providing the best audio experience to PlayStation players. We're excited to bring Audeze's expertise into the PlayStation ecosystem, building on the great strides we've made with PlayStation 5's Tempest 3D AudioTech and the Pulse 3D wireless headset," said Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President, Platform Experience at Sony Interactive Entertainment. 

As of June 30, 2023, SONY's cash and cash equivalents stood at JPY1.5 trillion.

Price Action: SONY shares are trading lower by 1.55% at $81.33 on the last check Thursday.
