Elon Musk, CEO and "Technoking" of Tesla Inc TSLA, recently responded to an X post that inquired about the timeline for Full Self-Driving (FSD) integration on new Tesla vehicles equipped with Hardware 4 (HW4).
Musk's reply indicated that it would take at least another six months for FSD to be available on HW4, as the company's primary focus currently rests on refining FSD for vehicles with Hardware 3 (HW3) and ensuring its effective global implementation.
It’s a real 6 months. Maybe less.

Responding to a user's skepticism about the accuracy of the mentioned timeline, Musk reassured that the stated six-month period for FSD on HW4 is indeed genuine and possibly even shorter.
This declaration came as Tesla's Model S and Model X have included HW4 since March 2023, and Model Y has included HW4 since approximately May 2023. The Tesla Model 3 still comes with Hardware 3.
In the interim, Tesla owners have the option to access FSD by either paying a one-time fee of $15,000 or opting for a subscription model of $200 per month. It's important to note that not all the paid features of FSD will be accessible during this transition period.
