  • Apple has added the ability to let parents review the Screen Time of their children.
  • All the members in the family group will need iOS 11 or later.

Apple Inc. AAPL introduced Family Sharing feature in 2014, allowing users to share their subscriptions, music, movies, and more without sharing their Apple ID.

What Can You Share: Apple's Family Sharing feature allows users to share their purchases of apps, music, movies, TV shows, books and more with five other Apple users for free.

This also allows users to share their iCloud+ subscription with other users in their family group.

Apple has also added the ability to let parents review the Screen Time of their children in the family group and set time limits for certain apps.

The Family Sharing feature also allows all six users to collaborate with each other using a shared family calendar.

What Isn't Shared: Despite sharing purchases and subscriptions of different Apple services, Family Sharing keeps each Apple ID separate.

Each family member's private photos, documents and other files are only accessible by the owner.
